As filmagens estão previstas para começar em Junho:
It was announced that the writer-director-producer Robert Rodriguez is eyeing a June start date in Austin for Machete, a feature about the blade- wielding antihero who appeared in a mock trailer that was part of Grindhouse back on '07. The film is financed and produced by Overnight Productions, with Danny Trejo starring as the title character. Machete is a Mexican ex-Federale with a gift for wielding a blade, who hides out as a day laborer, who is double-crossed by a corrupt state senator. Rodriguez wrote the script and will direct the film with Ethan Maniquis, his longtime editor.

Prestes a começar as filmagens, o elenco já foi anunciado:
Complete Machete Cast Revealed!

It seems that some of the rumored names of Robert Rodriguez's new film have been cast after all. According to Variety, Rodriguez's Machete started production this week and the full cast has been announced.

Aside from Danny Trejo, who will play Machete, the film also stars Robert De Niro, Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez, Steven Seagal, Lindsay Lohan, Cheech Marin. Don Johnson and Jeff Fahey will have supporting roles in the film as well.

Rodriguez is directing with his protege Ethan Maniquis. We'll be sure to keep you posted on any and all news stemming from this new film as soon as we have more information.

O trailer está excelente, este gajo (Rodriguez) anda a fazer o melhor cinema de entretenimento das duas últimas décadas.

Já o fake trailer no Grindhouse era brutal, foi por isso mesmo que decidiram fazer o filme. Gostei da forma como expandiram o primeiro trailer, mantendo a mesma voz off, mas introduzindo o novo cast. Espectacular mesmo... Must see...

o unico ponto em que este novo trailer fica a perder é que o trailer que vinha com o Grindhouse tinha boobies em topless.....

Gosto muito mais do fake trailer que vinha com o Grindhouse. Mesmo assim espero ansiosamente por este filme! yes-)
