Warner Bros. is in talks with Sam Worthington (Terminator Salvation, Avatar) to play the role of Perseus in the Louis Leterrier-directed Clash of the Titans.

A remake of the 1981 mythical adventure film about the myth of Perseus. To win the right to marry his love (Andromeda) and fufill his destiny, Perseus must complete various quests and battle both Medusa and the Kraken monster in order to save the Princess Andromeda. The special effects creatures in the 1981 film were created by stop-motion FX master Ray Harryhausen.

Não vejo porque não possa ser. O filme original era uma adaptação muito livre do mito de Perseu e Andromeda. Bem que pode tentar utilizar algum do material que ficou de fora.

Se isso significar q finalmente vão fazer um edição especial do original, com imagem restaurada e remasterizada e com varios extras, então força com o remake

Greek-god epic set to shoot later this month in the U.K.

Liam Neeson and Ralph Fiennes will play warring gods in Warner Bros. and Legendary's "Clash of the Titans," the Greek-god epic directed by Louis Leterrier.

Neeson is playing Zeus, the wise yet sometimes ill-tempered king of the gods and father of Perseus (Sam Worthington).

Fiennes will play Hades, ruler of the underworld who aims to overtake Zeus and rule over all. Fiennes' deal is in still in negotiations.

The two actors join Mads Mikkelsen, Gemma Arterton and Alexa Davalos in the production, which begins shooting later this month in the U.K.

Legendary is co-producing and co-financing the pic. Thunder Road's Basil Iwanyk is producing with Kevin de la Noy. Jon Jashni and Thomas Tull are executive producing.

The deal marks Neeson's first since the tragic death of his wife, Natasha Richardson. The deal was initiated before her death. His film "Taken," released earlier this year, has proven to be a surprise hit, earning almost $140 million domestically.

Fiennes last starred in "The Reader."

Both are repped by CAA.

Por estas alturas o pessoal já devia saber que a música utilizada nos trailers, ou é composta especificamente para estes ou proveniente de outros lados (na maioria, música de outros filmes). O compositor do filme é o Craig Armstrong, que compôs a música para o novo filme do Hulk, também do Leterrier.

Espera-se bem melhor. Esperemos que não se lembre de imitar o 300. Se é para imitar filmes, ou menos que o façam dos bons exemplos, Lord of The Rings, Conan The Barbarian, o próprio Clash of the Titans original e não de clips de MTV como é o 300.

Para além de que o 300 cometeu a desfaçatez de utilizar à revelia, música composta por outros compositores, sem ter os direitos.

Continua, no entanto, sem me inspirar grande confiança, sobretudo devido ao Louis Leterrier. Depois de ver este teaser trailer (que vale o que vale), mais me parece que teremos aqui mais um filme na linha do 300 e não dos outros que o Tojal referiu. Adoraria estar enganado...

Gostei do que vi, mas a porra do trailer precisava de uma montagem melhor. Não me parece que tenha grande coisa a ver com o 300, pelo menos não fiquei com essa sensação. Quanto ao filme original, bem, vale apenas pelas criações do Ray Harryhausen.

The first teaser trailer for Clash of the Titans has premiered online and it's packed with action. And power chords. The teaser doesn't really give you an idea of what the movie is about (it's pretty much about the exact same thing the original was about) but it does give you an idea of the variety of beasts and foes in the film. And it also gives you an idea of how practical Louis Letterier has gone; despite the fact that this is opening in the 300 slot next year and despite the mullet rock in the trailer, Clash is actually mostly practical.

I visited the set of Clash of the Titans a few months back, and my embargo is pretty rock solid, but I will say that this trailer doesn't quite capture the feel of the sizzle reel I was shown. Of course this teaser only exists to put the film on your radar - the next one will give a better look at what's going on.
