Diferente não quer dizer mais evoluído.

Para além disso ele tem razão, há muito que o Alien deixou de ser um monstro que se esconde no escuro, é um ícone pop, estrela de vários filmes de qualidade cada vez inferior, comic books, jogos de vídeo.

Se uma mudança da sua aparência for necessária para lhes devolver um pouco de mistério que seja não me oponho.

Mas que raio vem a ser esta conversa de "mais evoluído" ? De filme para filme, nunca repetiram o mesmo desenho de xenomorfo e agora são picuinhas com uma questão de semântica ? E sejamos honestos, o alien de 1979 só é efectivo porque passa a maior parte do filme praticamente obscurecido. Quando a Ripley o ejecta da nave e ele fica visível de corpo inteiro, não é mais do que um homem dentro de um fato. Ui, que medo...

O alien sempre se adaptou ao incubador , logo se o tal Space Jokey fizer parte da historia é perfeitamente normal que o desenho seja completamente diferente.

Novo "Alien" de Ridley Scott já tem título

Mais de 30 anos depois de "Alien - O 8º Passageiro", Ridley Scott regressa à "franchise"

A prequela de "O 8º Passageiro" vai estar dividida em duas partes e vai chamar-se "Paradise". A "NY Magazine" avança que a história deste regresso, tal como o original, vai centrar-se num grupo de viajantes espaciais a tentar sobreviver ao encontro com uma monstruosa criatura alienígena. Segundo a revista, a actriz sueca Noomi Rapace (Lisbeth Salander na adaptação da trilogia Millennium, de Stieg Larsson) deve encarnar Elizabeth Shaw, a personagem principal. Ridley Scott está interessado em Michael Fassbender ("Fome", "Sacanas Sem Lei") para representar David, um andróide, mas a "NY Magazine" adianta que a negociação com os agentes do irlandês de origem alemã está difícil.

Para o papel de Vickers, uma personagem que a revista descreve como uma "mulher na casa dos quarenta, dura mas sensual", o realizador inglês quer Michelle Yeoh ("O Tigre e o Dragão" e "Missão Solar"). A produção do filme deve começar já em Março. O último filme da série foi "Alien: O Regresso", de 1997, realizado pelo francês Jean-Pierre Jeunet ("O Fabuloso Destino de Amélie").

Não sejas mauzinho, cabeças... Essa dupla tem o "Gangster Americano" e o "Gladiator".
"Cercados" e "Amigos do Alheio" são bons filmes na minha opinião.

Quanto ao Alien, tenho a fasquia no máximo.Veremos como vai (re)inventar este marco cinematográfico.

Subscrevo inteiramente. Pessoalmente, acho intragáveis os filmes dessa dupla, e não engulo nenhum filme do Ridley desde o Black Hawk Down (que até foi o primeiro Blu-Ray que comprei). Aliás, tenho a convicção pura que vários deles, a terem sido visionados sem saberem quem era o realizador teriam sido trucidados pela crítica, mas quando alguém atinge um determinado estatuto...

Já existem várias novidades sobre o filme. O titulo será Prometheus (nao dá para editar ?? ). Será uma historia original que ocorre no universo dos Aliens (existiam duvidas se viria a ter alguma ligacao ).

While speculation runs irritatingly rampant about “Prometheus” and what exactly from “Alien” will appear in this not-a-prequel to the film, Michael Fassbender has finally confirmed a long swirling rumor about who he will play in the film that is keeping plot and character details very, very close close to the chest.

In an interview with EW when asked directly if he would be playing an android in the film he stated, “I don’t know what I can say!” nodded affirmatively adding, “I don’t want to get into trouble…” Yeah, that’s how secretive Ridley Scott wants to be about this forthcoming film.

Again asked about the connections between “Alien” and “Prometheus,” Fassbender once again said a variation of the same statement he’s been making for the past while. Scrutinize away: “It’s a different story, but it’s also got the traditional roots. ‘Alien’ fans will recognize things in it. It’s not ignoring ‘Alien,’ there’s still a link to that world. But it’s a different story. It’s definitely connected, though.” Got all that. It’s connected, but it isn’t, but it is.

So what more do we know? Fassbender is an android so throw that in a pot, stir and we’re sure more rumors will start cropping up. In the meantime in more solid news, Idris Elba, Sean Harris and Kate Dickie were announced as the latest additions to the cast, though of course, their roles were not specified. They join Noomi Rapace and Charlize Theron in the film. Once Fassbender finishes up “Shame” with Carey Mulligan that he’s currently shooting with “Hunger” director Steve McQueen in New York, he’ll fly to London and head to Pinewood were production is mounting for “Prometheus.” The film will hit theaters on June 8, 2012.

O actor Guy Pearce estará em processo de integrar o elenco da prequela da saga «Alien», de Ridley Scott, que terá por título «Prometheus», segundo o CHUD.com.

O site dedicado ao cinema dá conta que recebeu um e-mail anónimo a informar que Pearce foi visto no estúdio.

«Boa noite Nick, uma amiga minha está a trabalhar no Prometheus a fazer de XXX e encontrou o Guy Pearce em estúdio hoje. Ela já trabalhou em XXX, XXX e XXX e não tenho razão para crer que ela esteja a mentir. Não li em lado nenhum sobre o Pearce ir a casting, então pensei que te interessasse», lê-se na correspondência.

Horas depois de ter sido divulgado o e-mail, o site recebeu diversas mensagens que confirmaram a história.

Espera-se que o novo filme da saga «Alien», o quinto depois de «Alien: Ressurection», seja uma das grandes estreias de 2012, segundo o FilmShaft.

Não se sabe quem Guy Pearce interpretará no filme, mas a confirmar-se oficialmente a sua presença no elenco, actuará ao lado de Michael Fassbender, Logan Marshall-Green, Idris Elba, Sean Harris e Charlize Theron.

Earth. Year 2058.

Archaeological digs in Africa reveal alien artifacts that humans were genetically engineered by a advanced alien race (space jockeys). These "Alien Gods" also terraformed Earth in order to make it habitable for their human creations. Amongst finds are coordinates to the Alien God's home-world, to Paradise. Months later the Weyland Corp launch the spaceship PROMETHEUS and his crew, into deep space to make first contact. Thanks to faster than light travel a few years later the PROMETHEUS enters the Zeta Riticuli star system. Humans are greeted by their makers, then transported further into space to a scary yet fascinating world. The Alien Gods are proud of their "children", their first creation to reach such levels of intelligence.

As a reward they share bits of their astonishing bio-based technologies with the humans. But for one crew member of the Prometheus it's not enough. In a treacherous act he steals the "bio-source code" to Terraforming, a technology at the origin of all Gods' power, that could make humans equal to the gods. The Alien Gods may be scientists but are also ruthless conquerors, destroyers of worlds who will not accept humans as equals. They unleash on the escaping human crew their favorite bio-weapon, a creature used to "clean up" worlds before colonization. But something goes wrong in the process and humans manage to turn the bio-weapon against their makers. Giving birth to a smarter, nastier, bigger breed of gut eating creatures. Creatures that will be the demise of Paradise. What's left of the Prometheus crew manages to escape the doomed planet.

On their trail a survivor Alien God in very familiar ship with one ultimate mission.
